What are Regulatory Standards?
Regulatory Standards, or NR, are essential rules to ensure workplace safety. They define the rights and duties of employers and employees, all to create a safe and healthy environment. In other words, these standards exist to prevent accidents and illnesses, safeguarding everyone’s health at work.
How did they come about?
The first Regulatory Standards (NRs) were created in June 1978 through Ordinance No. 3,214, focusing on health, hygiene, and workplace safety. Since then, new standards have been developed to keep up with the evolving needs and changes in the work environment.
The creation and updating of the NRs are done with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), involving a team of representatives from the government, employers, and employees.
And it's important to remember: all companies with employees hired under the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws) regime must comply with the NRs according to the activities they perform.
The AMJ Grupo can help you with the Regulatory Standards:
Currently, there are 38 Regulatory Standards (NRs), and the AMJ Group can help ensure that your company complies with all of them, putting safety first. Check out some of the key NRs:
